ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
I’m Mark Cummings, an Army veteran and a Michigan native living in Texas. I have over 30+ years of real estate experience in Texas.
I started doing tax excess proceeds recovery back in the mid 1990s until state laws changed and greatly limited how much I could charge.
I then worked with area RE investors as a birddog, vetting properties that came up for sale at the monthly foreclosure auctions.
Later, I worked as a legal assistant for a real estate attorney and later served as a substitute trustee for foreclosures that same firm handled.
I got into mortgage surplus recovery about three years ago and as a "one man gang" locked up dozens of overage recovery claims, helping local homeowners recover over $600,000 in proceeds (see the checks above).
I also consult others in the field, especially those starting out in Texas surplus recovery.
